| Emory Radiation Oncology Receives Top Medical Advances Marketing Grant |

Emory Healthcare Marketing has awarded an internal grant to Emory’s Department of Radiation Oncology to highlight the department’s top advances in technology and the availability of clinical trials to radiation therapy patients. The department has implemented several new technologies which are being evaluated against the current standard of care to improve patient outcomes. These include a study for cervical motion for patients with cancer of the cervix. Currently, Emory is the only facility in Georgia with the Calypso 4D Localization System. Emory Radiation Oncology has also installed a relatively new technology called VisionRT, which will allow for improved accuracy for the setup of breast cancer patients.
